151 – The Erotic Adventures of the E-ratic Desperado
Season 4 is finally here... It's been a long long road and we've learned a lot... Unfortunately, none of it is helps and most of it is probably wrong. We have some ideas for the new season, so be on the lookout for some changes including more social media content and the return of episode videos. In this week's episode, we discuss the recent cast photo of the Han Solo movie, which leads us to discuss a bunch of movies including Zombieland, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, among others. We also discuss the Hollywood system and why remakes are so prevalent and original premises are so risky. Lastly, we find our rap names using the Wu-Tang Clan Name Generator and discuss our stage show, including a possible secret dating scheme featuring David. Enjoy!
130 – Whoa… Too Soon!
Finally back with a normal episode, special episodes are nice and all, but we've been out of the news cycle for too long - playing games instead of discussing the currents trends and stories. So get ready for a fairly deep and heavy conversation. 106 – Ghosts of Movies Past
With Fish absent, Jimmy and Jason bring in friend-of-the-show David to discuss some of the recent news from the last week. One of the bigger things was the release of the new Ghostbuster’s trailer – which elicited mixed reactions from our hosts and also brought about a discussion about remakes and reboots in general. We talk about some of our favorite and least favorites and try to establish some rules that Hollywood should adhere to concerning reboots/remakes.
102 – Unforeseen Consequences
With Fish at PAX South, Jimmy and Jason bring back David to discuss what’s going on in the world. First, they discuss the recent internet uproars caused by The Fine Bros attempt to trademark react videos and the issues caused from YouTube’s automated copyright system. Next, we discuss the changing entertainment landscape including Netflix and TV, magazines, books, and newspapers. Which transitions to a lengthy movie discussion including sequels, reboots, parodies, De Niro in Bad Grandpa, Will Ferrell, and Jim Carrey.
