158 – Totpod’s Guide to Morality


In this week’s episode, Jimmy, Jason, and Jessica discuss literature and morality. They begin by listing some of the favorite and least favorite books, some of which that are mentioned are: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Mark Haddon), Assassin’s Apprentice (Robin Hobb), His Dark Materials (Philip Pullman), Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling), Lord of the Rings (J. R. Tolkien), A Series of Unfortunate Events (Lemony Snicket), American Gods (Neil Gaiman), Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (Gregory Maguire), The Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald), Catcher in the Rye (J. D. Salinger). Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (Alvin Schwartz), Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain), and a bunch more.  Next, we go through a morality test to find out how we stack up morally against the internet. These questions revolve around violence, heartbreak, animals, sex, money,  incest, friendship,  theft, military, virginity, parenting, death, family, and everything in between. Lastly, we discuss the Thor: Ragnarok trailer and the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Enjoy!
